AN UNFORGETTABLE SATURDAY...

29th September, 2012
NEW DELHI, INDIA

I turned left and saw 3 policemen having lathis sprinting towards us like wild hounds, an instant gasp of cuss came out from my mouth followed by a yell at my friends to run. In the very next moment we found ourselves running bewildered in any direction in a bid to save ourselves from the fury of the lathis, which consequently could result into free blue and black tattoos on different parts of our bodies. After running madly for about 40 meters or so, i turned back to see if the usually lethargic 'servants of the people' still after us or had fallen on the ground holding their chests, but to my nightmare, they were still chasing us as if we were the last persons in the universe they could get bribe from. Instantly my legs moves on to such a speed, that could give complex to even Rajnikant or at least usain bolt for that matter.

Suddenly due to my know-how of that area, i turned left and went straight into the law faculty and took my asylum inside it. After few minutes of staying there i realised that my friends were not there in the vicinity and maybe hiding somewhere else in the campus.

It all happened on the last saturday. After completing almost 3 weeks at ndtvmi and adjusted to the new routines of life, i thought of visiting north campus to meet my friends after almost 5 months and also to congratulate my friend who was surely everyone's favourite to become the next president of Delhi university, although he lost that later.

I boarded the metro from Moolchand and reached Vishwavidyalaya metro station to be received by cussing mouths of friends for getting half an hour late. As it was already the onset of evening, we decided to visit Arts faculty followed by D-school and kamla nagar. The time we entered the chhatra marg road, the scene was of nothing less than a war zone with hundreds of policemen lined up at the entire stretch. On the way i wondered that could there be even a single policemen in this huge force who had been taken from the Z or Z+ security perimeter of our V.I.P'S and V.V.I.P's.

The entrance of arts faculty was overcrowded with the supporters of both parties. So i asked our female friends to remain in the safe area and with 2 other friends of mine plunged into the crowd. In a matter of minutes nearly half of the crowd turned into mob and went berserk due to the election results. On turning left i saw 3 policemen running towards us. Things didn't turned out to be as were planned, my rice with egg curry at D-school got due for the future. Thanks to our mobile phones we all met outside Srcc college and laughed about the incident and planned to meet again soon. One thing i concluded from the incident, that since the start it has always been the common man who has suffered in the clash for grabbing power.

WILL TOMORROW COME?

According to our scientists and astrophysicists, 'Time' begins with the formation of our universe, and universe which we now see as an amalgamation of solar systems, stars, asteroids, meteors etc. etc. was nothing but just a vast area of gases with high density, and then the big-bang happens which resulted into everything our eyes can see and much more than that.

It is said that human species came into existence somewhat 2.5 million years ago, after that the process of their evolution started. Humans with the development of his needs and selfish pursuits, goes into the frenzy of making his life more comfortable and have better standard of living than the other humans. Thus, since then started the process of plundering and degrading the resources and balance of nature. None of our ancestors gave there time to solve such complex issue which surely was going to harm the future generations, one day, or the other., finally with increasing global warming, untimely erupting volcanoes, tsunamis, floods and weather transitions across the world, the onus has been put on our generation. Thus, Climate summits, numerous weather-saving campaigns and serious commitments have been shown by many countries and organisation to save our planet. Even movies '2012' and  "Day after tomorrow" have been made to warn the citizens of earth to predict their 'maybe'(or may not be) future.

It would be good to see how we as humans will go to save our planet, otherwise its not we, who has to save our planet, but its the planet who needs to save us. Because, if it comes to its fury, we humans would be wiped out in a matter of few days.. or maybe hours, like we never had existed.
